Hazari Lal Khurchan Wale

Hazari Lal Khurchan Wale

Hazari Lal Khurchan Wale was established 76 years ago by the late Mr. Hazari Lal Jain and it is presently under the control of his Mr. Sunil Jain. It is located in Kinari Bazar and specialized for the variety of conventional milk sweets like malai laddoo, khurchan, kalakand, rabri and gulab jamun. Hazari Lal Khurchan also sells samosas with tasty fillings made of a mixture of cashew nuts, peas and raisins, unlike the typical potato filling. Khurchan that is famous here is prepared using boiling milk for about 1 to 1 ½ hours. It has a soft texture and contains powdered sugar that melts smoothly in one’s mouth. The other specialty of this shop is that it makes use of undiluted buffalo’s milk for preparing and selling dishes that form a significant part of the traditional cuisine of the country. As you bite, you can taste its inner moistness that further softens the texture. It tastes a bit sweeter; however that is how the people of Delhi like it.
